What’s an Inkwink? Well… let’s get it straight from the source:  ::clears throat::

An Inkwink:

“it is that little something special- a flourish, a color, a font, a shape, a theme, a pattern, a feel- conveyed on paper, specially for you, handcrafted by me.”

When I was planning Ms Andi’s wedding cuppies, I knew I wanted to do cupcake flags. They are the cutest things ever, like kittens in a little wicker basket cute…and they add a touch of the whimsy!

Soooo.. I starting hunting. Of course, for anything cute, crafty, & original I start with Etsy. So I typed in “cupcake flags” and started clicking away.

Even though the other flags were swell.. I wanted flags, not circles on a stick but flags. So I clicked on some bridal shower flags I saw and was introduced to Inkwink Design.

First of all, how adorably clever is the name “inkwink?” I mean… when you say it, you smile. Try it. See? So cute right?  I appreciate someone that can turn a phrase. Anywho, I contacted Inkwink to see about custom flags.

As I knew we were on a budget (which every bride needs, to keep her from making crazy $500 napkin purchases…bride brain is real, people!) so Andi and I decided we would only do half of the cuppies with flags.  I started a “convo” with Kristina, from Inkwink, and once again marveled at the genuine excitement she showed for the project… the number 1 perk of Etsy. So I sent her the graphic that was to be used, and she quoted me a super fair price…seriously, for the quality of work that was done it was an amazingly fair and reasonable price. And no, I won’t tell you how much….. a lady never buys and tells! ;) Trust me.. it was completely doable. So we were set… a couple days later, I had an email from her with “proofs” of a few flags to approve before she made the complete order of 60.

I know! Amazing right!?

I know! Amazing right!?

A little under two weeks later, I received word from Kristina that the flags were all done and ready to ship. I received the package soon after and was so blown away!

The flags were amazing and so well crafted.  I also really appreciated her presentation. She sent an amazing little thank you note, printed ridiculously well and smart. She included her card and all tucked in a black envelope with a tiny fuschia gem on the front! LOVE it! I really do need to be more organized and take pics of everything… sorry I suck at life.  The flags were packaged well and no damage occurred. They were great!

They really did add a certain something to the cupcakes… they were the period on the sentence that was the cupcakes… more like exclamation mark, actually!

They provided a wonderful backdrop for the toppers as well.. I turned the flags that were behind the toppers, around to show the wedding date. It made for some adorable pictures.

My interaction with Kristina was easy and pleasant… we have conversed since (found out we are fellow neighboring Floridians!) and I know I will be ordering future Inkwink designs for all the enjoy!

Hurrah for the creatives!

P.S. Kristina, I can not WAIT for the cupcake pinwheel toppers!
