My Forever Cupcake

So I’ve joined the ranks… the ranks of what you ask? Oh, the cupcake tattoo ranks. 

That’s right kids, I finally did it. I got my dream tattoo….

I visited the lovely and talented Siobhan in Miami the weekend before Thanksgiving and since she makes me brave, we decided to get tattoos. I almost chickened out, b/c I do that. I’m a chicken Sh**. But I sucked it up and went through with it. The tattoo itself was painful. Wait, let me say it again. It HURT SO BAD….. like the fire of 1000 suns,  oh my gawd, I want my mommy, I need a glass of water and a fluffy pillow (13 going on 30 reference, what!) kind of hurt. I have another tattoo, a small one, that I got when I was 19. Apparently my threshold for pain has decreased over the years, b/c I was totally hurting and acting like a complete baby. Or as Siobhan put it, I needed to be a  ”solider” and “champ up.” haha But about an hour or so later (it felt like nine hours to me) I had a beautiful tattoo that I love. 

Ok explanation time: 

I’m sure you’re asking, “Where’d your hair go?” Well the lovely Siobhan is an amazing stylist and gave me a sexy little bob also. THEN you might be asking, “Why a CUPCAKE tattoo? Aren’t those really trendy right now? And really a CUPCAKE on you forever!!?” Well… to answer that three part question… to me this tattoo is a promise to myself & as a bookmark reminder of the time I’m at in my life right now.  I know they are trendy at the moment, BUT that’s not why I did it. I don’t go along with peer pressure. Never have. Ok, I wore my clothes backwards ONCE, thanks Kris Kross! But other than that, I try to do my own thing.  I decided on this tattoo b/c I made a promise to myself.  I really want to own my own business. I want to be in this field of work, I want to make people happy by decorating cupcakes. It’s my dream. I have started the steps in order to get to my dream (hello, blog! hello, baking for parties, weddings etc!) and I intend on taking more of these steps everyday. It’s also a reminder of the time of my life that I’m at right now… newly married and starting a new life full of new possibilities. So THAT my bloggie friends is why I got a Cupcake tattoo Plus… it’s so darn cuuuuuuteee!
