2009 ... wasn't it fine!

Every year around this time people get nostalgic and reflective (yes thats a word), and I my friends am no exception….

2009…I can’t believe its over. I feel like I blink and a year passes…

It was definitely a year of firsts….

It was my first full year as a married lady, and I could not be happier.  I feel blessed to have a partner in life that has my back and supports me the way Chris does. Plus he is super funny and cute. I Love you Hubs!

It was the first year I was able to bake more than I ever have, for other people.  I feel so flattered that friends gave me the responsibility to be a part of their children’s birthdays, special events and even their weddings!  I look forward to destroying my kitchen more in 2010. (This time I’ll take pictures!)

I also took a few risks this year, beyond the tattoo and hair cut! :) I took the time to improve and practice my decorating skills. I started this blog a few months back, and am so happy at the response I’ve received.  Not only from people I know but from people that I do not know and from larger prestigious websites! I still don’t understand how or why people give a hoot what I have to say! It is the goofy quips? The movie references? I don’t know. But I like it!

I will make the same resolution I did last year…  it’s my Mary J. Blige resolution “No More Drama.”   I will surround myself with positive people and not stress out so much over little things. I will continue my positive journey into the future, closer to my dream.

A quick thank you to my few (but totally amazingly awesome and completely intelligent) readers…. thank you for sticking with me and listening to the words I put together… I love you all.

Happy New Year!

Platonic Hug,

Teak
